Reba McEntire's "The Secret of Giving" is a wonderful Christmas album. It is a must have for anyone who likes down home country Christmas music. From "This Is My Prayer, to "Til the Season Come Round" it is a great listen. Songs like "This Is My Prayer", "Mary Did You Know", and "And the Angels Sang" remind us the true meaning and importance of Christmas. They remind of the birth of Christ and His never ending love for us. Songs, like "Up on the House Top", and "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" remind us of the joy of the Christmas season. Reba herself arranged "Up on the House Top" and I must say hers is one of my most favorite arrangement. It makes you want to get up and dance. "Santa Claus is coming back to town" is the saddest song on the album in my opinion. Leave it to Reba to be able to put together a fantastic album that sweeps you through the whole realm of emotions. From joy to saddness, Reba does it again!
